It is perfectly heavy and tacky to handle the most demanding plumbing, laboratory, industrial, and many other applications. It can be used to seal and lubricate o-rings, valves and faucets, and can seal high vacuum systems It is non-toxic and meets USDA 1998 H-1 guidelines so it is safe to use in incidental contact applications in potable water and food processing equipment.
